Installation:
1. Edit the wakeonlan.cfg file, adding your own hosts and mac addresses.
2. Copy the wakeonlan.cfg file into /etc on your AppleTV.
# sudo mount -uw /
# sudo cp /tmp/wakeonlan.cfg /etc
3. Copy the ATVWakeOnLan.frappliance directory to
the /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/PlugIns directory.
# sudo cp -r /tmp/ATVWakeOnLan.frappliance /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/PlugIns
4. Restart Finder. The command ps awx|grep [F]inder will list the PID as
the first number, then running kill PID will kill it. The Finder will be
automatically restarted.
Usage:
A new 'Wake Up' menu item will be added to the main menu. Selecting this will
the plugin which reads your wakeonlan.cfg file dynamically. Each hosts in the
file is added to the WakeOnLan menu. Use the remote control to select the menu
item and the magic WOL pack will be sent to that MAC address.
