Friends, Romans and countrymen, lend me your ears; I present to you a magical dohicky commonly known as ‘The Television’. Yes, fear not my fellow internet travellers as this very device promises to lead by example, it promises to educate us, it promises to love us, unite us, play fair and represent an accurate view of those mysterious lands beyond our seas. It talks to us and presents information through some sort of moving picture technology.
The Great Inventor of ‘The Television’ has done a remarkable thing, we must trust him for he lies not. His advertisements for ‘Durable Leather Sandals’ (The last pair you’ll ever need), ‘Double stitched looting sacks’ (at reasonable prices) and hair lotion that ‘restores the vigor of youth’ (or your money back) clearly shows us how to spend our coin on quality wares with speedy delivery.
Hello, I’m Steven Toth and I earn my crust as a software engineer working on Linux, Mac and Windows. I also happen to like TV, Home Theater PC’s, big screen TV’s and good sound systems.
… But I don’t like commercials, I think the television networks would sell our souls for 20 pieces of silver, that’s why I love my DVR.
