I’ve been running HDPVRCapture on 10.6 and looking for any obvious compatibility issues, the good news is that I can’t find any direct problems. I have found one indirect issue related to QuickTime Player X (v10) which is now the default on my MacPro. (Unrelated: My previous installation of QuickTime Pro v7 was relegated during the upgrade but is still available for use when you right click on a file and choose to “Open With -> QuickTime Player 7″).

I’ve added a specific 10.6 section to the FAQ which describes a common issue I’ve seen with QT v10 related to AC3 audio inside mov/mp4 and MKV containers. It’s a little disappointing that certain audio codec types that played perfectly with QuickTime in 10.5 now have issues with newer QuickTime builds.

FAQ Updates here: http://www.steventoth.net/blog/products/hdpvr-capture/faq/#106

If you find any other 10.6 issue that you’d like me to investigate then feel free to contact me. My details are on the About page.
